Ninette’s Musette is a beautiful romantic miniature by German composer George Nevada. It is one of a number of pieces in the collection titled from Romantic Impressions. Ninette’s Musette featured in ABRSM’s Grade 4 Piano exam repertoire for 2023–2024. I have taught this piece to a couple students who absolutely adore it, as do I!
Notably, I have not been able to find any information about Nevada beyond the fact that he was of German origin, lived 1939–2014, and composed some piano music. Mystery man! The publisher of his works is Schott Music GmbH & Co. KG. I shall ask them for more information about Nevada and update this post if I learn something new.
