This piece is very special indeed. It accomplishes so much as a Grade 1 piano exam piece (ABRSM 2023/24). Using so few notes, and in the space of so few bars, Tyler perfectly evokes the title’s promised world.
Music like this transcends whatever box it might have been put in. Yes it is a “Grade 1” piece, but it also stands alone as a gorgeous miniature gem suitable for anyone to play (and anyone to enjoy) regardless of their level.
It also makes for a wonderful encore for occasions that call for a bite-sized one!
